Silva Consultants was founded in 1985 by Michael A. Silva and was the first independent security consulting and design firm to be located in the Pacific Northwest.

Mr. Silva has over thirty-five years of security industry experience including hands-on involvement in every phase of security system planning, design, installation and service.

Silva Consultants has performed work on hundreds of projects throughout the United States and our clients have included many of the largest corporations and public institutions located in the Pacific Northwest.

In late 2001, Mike Silva suspended the operations of Silva Consultants to accept a position with Kroll, the world’s largest security and risk consulting company. From 2001 to 2006, he managed Kroll’s security consulting and engineering practice in Seattle, and was responsible for projects throughout Washington, Oregon, California, and Nevada.

In 2007, Michael Silva resigned his position with Kroll and resumed the operations of Silva Consultants. He returned with a renewed commitment to provide a high level of personal service to all clients and to set the standard for excellence in security consulting.

Michael Silva is board certified in security management and has been designated as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by ASIS International, the preeminent international organization for security professionals.

Michael Silva is a member of the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC), a professional organization comprised solely of independent non-product affiliated security advisors.

Silva Consultants gives back to the community by providing security consulting services to qualified non-profit organizations and charities on a pro bono basis.
